"Activator Methods Technique® is a gentle, low-force program of chiropractor care. It has been safely used for overActivator 35 years to benefit people with a wide range of health problems-without drugs or surgery!

In the late 1960's, this revolutionary chiropractic technique was developed to improve safety and comfort for the chiropractic patients.

Since then, the technique has grown to be the most widely-used "low force" chiropractic technique in the world.

The Activator Technique incorporates the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological, and chiropractic examinations along with a unique system of administering spinal adjustments. Using the Activator analysis and the Activator instrument, your chiropractor can help restore spinal balance, safely and comfortably.

Doctors of Chiropractic receive extensive training in the Activator Technique. This method is also one of the most scientifically researched techniques in chiropractic. Patients all over the world are benefiting from the ease and precision of this unique method of chiropractic care. Discover how the Activator Technique can work for you!

Patients from all walks of life can enjoy the benefits of an Activator adjustment. The Activator Technique works well for children because it is quick and easy. Even young children who may have problems keeping still typically have no problems with Activator adjustments. Many even look forward to their next visit!

Elderly patients benefit from the Activator Technique as well. The unique Activator adjustment offers a more gentle and effective care approach for elderly patients who suffer from degeneration, arthritis, and osteoporosis.

This technique utilizes specific procedures to detect spinal joint dysfunction, analyze leg length inequality, detect body mechanics problems, and test neurological reflexes. With these unique analytical tools, we can begin the process of restoring your overall spinal balance.

To address spinal joint dysfunction, we use an instrument called the Activator®. This unique hand-held instrument was scientifically designed to give you a very specific, "low-force" adjustment.

The Activator instrument delivers a controlled, light, and fast thrust, without causing undue strain to patients.

Activator adjustments are so quick and controlled, your body's muscles are less likely to resist, allowing for a more precise and exact adjustment.

One of the unique features of the Activator Technique is that we can zero in on the exact area of the body that is causing your health problems".*

Corrective Exercises

We teach our patients special exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

Lifestyle Advice

We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most. We recognize that each our patient is a whole person, and help them reach true health and wellness is a collaborate effort between our professionals and our patients.

Nutritional Counseling

We provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to enhance our patients' return to optimal health. Dr. Nancy McCown and Dr.Kelly McCown can provide a structured nutritional program based on your individual needs.

Biotics Research Corporation manufacturers nutritional supplements that are fresh, pure, safe, effective, and meet label claims. Biotics sells only to health care practitioners who know that "Not all supplements are created equal. Most people do not give much thought to the purchase of the nutritional supplements, assuming that they are basically the same. However the quality of dietary supplements varies tremendously from manufacturer to manufacturer. Unfortunately, many products are not what they are represented to be. So how can a consumer make an educated choice when purchasing the nutritional supplement that is right for them - with the assistance of their health care provider." *
